I have to say. I am a die hard LPU member. LP is my favorite band and I usually like there videos but this one in particular I did not care for. Love the song, but the video does not go with that particular one. It should have been a video consisting of someone contemplating suicide or something like that.Not an outer space theme. Oh well. Next one.

It looks to me it’s a blend of 2001 space odyssey and Sunshine. especially the shot with the bench and the entire panoramic view of the sun.
